What to do in Rateče
Rateče is a mountain village, which is located in the community of Kranjska Gora, under the tripoint of Slovenia, Austria and Italy.
It attracts active sportsmen, hikers, cyclists, skiers and cross-country skiers, but also people who only want to relax and rest or take a walk through the forest.
Cyclists can go to cycling path of three borders, and the hikers can walk the hiking path Alpe Adria Trail.
Nature reserve Zelenci tempts the visitors with its emerald water.
In Planica you can visit the nordic centrr, where you can fly in the wind tunnel or take a guided tour of Planica. You can watch the ski jumping competitions and trainings, try the disc golf or fly the ski jumping hill with a zipline.
From Planica there is a walking path to Tamar, a beautiful valley under the mountain Jalovec. The walking path is appropriate for people of any age, at the end there is a chapel and a mountain cottage where you can rest, quench thirst and try typical slovene food.
